Fall Festival

Tuesday, October 13  •  5:30–9:00 PM
It’s the night before fall break, so don’t skip out of town too soon!

Crusader Families, FALL FESTIVAL is officially THREE WEEKS away! The purpose of the Fall Festival is community/fellowship and to fund teacher bonuses!

If you have been at CHA for a while and “know the drill,” all the links are at the top for your convenience. If you are new to CHA or have questions, details are listed below.

Wristbands, food tickets & teacher sponsorship

Purchase your wristbands, food tickets, and sponsor a teacher here.

Class booths

Don’t forget to sign up to work your child’s class booth! That information comes from your class homeroom mom.

Homework passes

Bring cash or card for Secondary Homework passes. This is a great way to give your secondary student a little boost! You can purchase a homework pass, which allows your student to skip an assignment without any penalty, or purchase a bonus points coupon toward a future test or quiz.

Treats from the Trustees

Please come by to connect with the board members and get a fun photo of your students with Mr. Schapansky.

Dinner

Dinner will be provided by Billy Sims BBQ: a BBQ chicken sandwich with all the fixings (pickles, onions), chips, and a drink for $10.00. We will also provide a slice of pizza and a drink for $5.00. You can pay ahead, or with a card or cash at the event. Dinner will only be served until 7:30. Click here to order.

Bake sale

Every year we have so many yummy treats for sale. Come ready to BUY them, but also please consider donating baked goods to benefit the teachers. This can be more than cookies and brownies: pies, cakes, cinnamon butter, salsa, flavored breads like pumpkin or strawberry, regular homemade bread, lemon bars, jams and jellies… these are all examples of items that have been brought in the past and are a huge hit! The more variety, the better. The most important thing is that they are all homemade. Anything store-bought will be sent to the cakewalk. Items can be dropped off in the gym starting at 8:00 AM the morning of the 13th. Please sign up here if you are planning to contribute.

Wristbands

Wristbands will be $30.00 each this year with a family max of $120.00. They give unlimited access to all games, inflatables, and the cakewalk. The wristband does not include dinner or other food items for purchase. Every person, regardless of age, who wants to participate in games, inflatables, and the cakewalk will need a wristband. All pre-sale wristbands and dinner tickets will be at the Will Call Table starting at 2:30 in the gym.

Please note: parents do not have to purchase a wristband to attend the Fall Festival. Some parents get wristbands to take part in the games, but many also enjoy just congregating and chatting as their kids run around and have fun!

Banners

Banners are another great way to advertise your business. Businesses (or individuals) can donate money to have a banner with their logo hung on the fence at the festival. Your business name is also announced as a sponsor over the PA/radio system. This is great advertising because CHA families love to support other CHA families! The deadline to print a new banner is October 2. Please contact Becky Ayers with questions about banners: (405) 822-8817. Banner link here.

Sponsor a teacher

This is a donation for Fall Festival expenses for teachers (wristbands and dinner tickets for their spouse and kids). It goes into a pot for teachers to split. The heart behind this is to allow our faculty and staff who have children, or who just want to participate, to avoid having to financially contribute to their own Christmas bonus. Even if you cannot attend and still want to help with the teacher’s Christmas bonus, you can still sponsor a teacher. Click here to sponsor a teacher.

Cakewalk

One of the biggest hits of the night is the cakewalk. We rely totally on prize donations for this one. We will accept prizes ranging from $1.00–$10.00. They can be games or toys. Ideas: Nerf-type toys, jewelry-making kits, stationery or marker sets, big glow sticks, anything you could find at “Five Below.” The Dollar Store, Dollar Tree, and even Amazon are great places to find fun prizes to donate. Items can be dropped off in the gym starting at 8:00 AM the morning of the 13th. Please sign up here to donate.

In your donations, please remember no Halloween images of any kind (even candy wrappers). This includes ghosts, goblins, witches, jack-o’-lanterns, etc., or anything specifically Halloween.

Senior silent auction

The proceeds go toward the senior class trip to Boston. It takes place in the gym, and you can bid on all kinds of great prizes—everything from photography packages, gift baskets, spa services, to vacation rentals. Bidding is online, and you do not have to be present to win. A link to the auction will be provided by the school closer to the date of the festival.

It takes an army! Thank you, parents, for all you do to help and for letting your kids take part. We look forward to seeing everyone there, and thank you again for helping us make this night a success!
