Excellence in Teaching

Christian Heritage Academy recognizes the need for ongoing professional development within its faculty. Under the guidance of Dr. Susan DeMoss, Associate Headmaster, faculty members are organized into a formal structure under the mentorship of deans. The purpose is to foster accountability to the mission, core values, and educational philosophy of Christian Heritage Academy and to encourage personal and professional growth among the faculty.

Christian Heritage Academy has hosted a regional conference for area educators for the last six years. The conference is called RestorED. The conference aims to connect educators to foster collaboration and community, train educators in a Biblical worldview, and equip educators with creative pedagogy. Conference attendance continues to grow each year, with six different schools represented. Resources are linked on this page.

The theme of the conference is Deep Waters. Proverbs 20:5 reminds us that we must be discerning with Godly wisdom in order to have true understanding. Educators have been called to be firmly grounded in God's Word, plant good seeds, and help students flourish. This year, Oklahoma Baptist University is sponsoring the conference.  Along with OBU’s presence, fellow educators from around the state are joining us. The Lord continues to expand His vision for CHA through this opportunity.

The conference is divided into two primary focuses. Day one is focused on worldview. Dr. Bill Brown from the Colson Center will be our keynote speaker. Participants will receive one ACSI Bible CEU for day one. Day two is focused on pedagogy. Participants will choose four breakout sessions to attend throughout the day. The flyer lists the sessions, and an online program will be provided with session descriptions and presenter bios. Participants will receive one ACSI education CEU for day two. ACSI participant numbers must be provided on the registration form for guests to receive the CEUs in their online ACSI my VPP.

Would you please consider joining the movement to RestorED to God’s original design and partner with area educators to collaborate in the process? The conference cost includes breakfast each day, snacks, lunch, and conference materials. To register, fill out the PayIt Form. Please register by May 15.
