When Sunnyside Baptist Church founded the school in 1972, they named it Christian Heritage Academy. Dr. Henry Boydston, the pastor at the time, stated that this was before the church truly understood our nation’s Christian heritage. In the summer of 1974, Mr. Ralph Bullard went to Plymouth, Massachusetts, and learned of God’s Providence in our country. On Burial Hill, Mr. Ralph Bullard understood God's way for Christian Heritage Academy as a Principle Approach© school.  We are called to fulfill Isaiah 58:12, which says, “And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach.”

CHA’s annual Heritage Celebration is one way to reflect what God has called us to do.  This year, we have the privilege of hosting Dr. Paul Jehle as our guest speaker. Dr. Jehle is the President of the Plymouth Rock Foundation in Plymouth, MA. He is a pastor and a leader in Principle Approach© education in our nation.

We would like to invite all our current families and grandparents to attend. If you know of any prospective families who would also like to join us and learn more about CHA’s distinct education, please contact Mrs. Ransford, the Advancement Administrative Assistant. Seating is limited, so please register as soon as possible.

Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m., with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m. The mix-and-mingle reception with light hors d'oeuvres from 5:30-7:30 p.m. is designed for guests to enjoy each other and hear what the Lord has been doing. Highlights of the upcoming year will be shared throughout the evening, and the third annual “Liberty Leader” winner will be announced.
