Celebrating History

April 22, 2024
By Dr. Susan DeMoss

One of CHA’s distinctives in education is our view of history. We believe that history is “His” story. From PK-12th grade, students study God’s providential hand in our nation. We celebrate the Christian principles on which our nation was founded. We learn about great men and women whom God used to establish our country.

The third grade Presidential Tea is one way students learn to research, reason, relate, record, and oration—hallmarks of our Biblical reasoning approach at CHA. We would like to thank the third grade parent planning team who decorated the auditorium, provided food, and hosted the event. Parent involvement is essential at CHA. At each grade level, CHA has teachers committed to teaching the American Christian principles of government. Understanding that our liberties come from God impacts every sphere of our lives.

Over the next few weeks, our sixth graders will travel to Washington, D.C. to learn more about our nation’s history, while our seniors travel to Boston to see our nation’s founding firsthand. Thank you for praying for these capstone trips.
