Make a Joyful Noise

2022 Band State Competitors

The purpose of the arts at CHA is to glorify God through individuals’ gifts and talents. Last Saturday, members of CHA’s band competed to qualify for the state competition. Our percussion band, along with Truitt Campbell’s trumpet solo, qualified. Over the past few years, CHA’s fine arts department has grown. Our Fine Arts Gala will showcase the visual and performing arts departments in elementary and secondary this week. Our fine arts teachers have done an outstanding job preparing our students for this opportunity.

Psalm 98:4 says, “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” God made us be worshippers. Webster’s 1828 defines worship as the act of adoration. From our job to our home and church, all that we do is an act of worship. Christian Heritage Academy’s vision is to produce American Christian leaders who understand that every sphere of society is a platform of the gospel.

May we celebrate what God is doing at CHA and praise the Lord, who alone is worthy of all praise.

Heritage Gala Invitation

Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines a gala as a “day of pomp, show or festivity when persons appear in their best apparel.”  The 2021-22 school year marks CHA’s fiftieth year.  It is indeed a time to celebrate what the Lord has done and is doing at Christian Heritage Academy. With eight weeks until the celebration, we encourage all of our current families, alumni, alumni families, and friends of CHA to join us on April 12th at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

We would like to thank our sponsors.

Alumni at dinner

On February 15, CHA launched its new Alumni Association.  With over 1,800 graduates, CHA has a rich legacy of alumni and alumni families. The purpose of the CHA Alumni Association is to:

  • Fulfill the mission of CHA which is to encourage alumni to be leaders in every sphere of society.
  • Cultivate lifelong relationships with current and future alumni.
  • Serve as the coordinating and communications link between Alumni Association and CHA.
  • Foster a spirit of pride and commitment among graduates, former students, current students, friends, and the community.
  • Mobilize support of Alumni for the betterment of the CHA through a network of Association committee(s) and individual contacts.
  • Assist with activities designed to strengthen the relationship between CHA.
  • Inform others of what God is doing through CHA.

Over fifty alumni from forty-four of the graduating classes attended an informational meeting for the association. Representatives from each graduating class were identified. The role of each class leader is to connect alumni to CHA as the association fulfills its purpose. Mrs. Shawna Nuthman, as CHA’s Alumni Liaison, will work closely with the Development Office.

We are thankful for our alumni and excited to see how God uses this ministry. We invite our alumni families to the Heritage Gala on April 12, where the first annual alumni “Liberty Leader” awards will be presented.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

50th Anniversary Coat of Arms

In 1972, God placed upon the heart of Pastor Harry Boydstun and the congregation of Sunnyside Baptist Church to begin a new school in Oklahoma City. For fifty years, CHA has been faithful to the mission that God gave in those early years. Through partnering with the home and the church, CHA has produced over 1,800 graduates. Many are being used throughout our world to propagate the gospel and be leaders in their spheres of society. The theme verse for the year is Lamentations 3:22–23, “The Lord’s loving kindness never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.”

On April 12, 2022, the Heritage Gala is an opportunity to celebrate what the Lord has done and is doing at CHA. This year’s Gala will provide a reception time for alumni and current families to celebrate and connect. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served from 6:00–7:00 P.M. Several former alumni and faculty will provide instrumental accompaniment during this time.  At 7:00 P.M. there will be a short program, and the first annual “Liberty Leader” winners will be announced.

Please use this link if you would like to sponsor a table or provide a meal for CHA’s faculty and staff.  We would like to thank the following table sponsors who have already registered for the event.
