Tradition

December 12, 2022
By Dr. Susan DeMoss

In a world of constant change, it is amazing that Christian Heritage Academy has done the same Christmas program for the past forty-nine years. The purpose of the program is to worship. In 1974, Dr. Pat O’Brien, the school’s Elementary Headmaster, wrote the Christmas program. The combined elementary and secondary program is one of the rich traditions at CHA. If you are an alumnus, you probably can remember some of the lines from the fourth-grade narrative or sing the songs with the children. You remember wondering who would be selected as the Rabbi and Auntie.

I don’t think anything is more precious than hearing children lead in worship. Their innocence, joy, energy, and authenticity beckon us to remember. Remember, Christ came as a baby. Remember, our need for a Savior. Remember.

Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in the training of your children. It is an honor to have a “front row” seat to see God working in their lives. We hope you can join us for the CHA band concert on December 13 at 6:30 pm.
