Faculty and Staff in 1970s Dress Up

This year CHA celebrates its 50th anniversary.  In August, the faculty and staff kicked off the year with CHA trivia and a 70s dress-up day to commemorate CHA’s inaugural year in 1972.  While the location may have changed and the faculty may have grown, CHA’s mission has not wavered.  From its earliest beginnings, Christian Heritage Academy has been committed to teaching the principles of Scripture in every discipline.  Our distinct approach to education is called the Principle Approach.   The upholding of the sufficiency of Scripture is seen in our motto, “It’s about the gospel.”   From class mission projects to yearly mission trips, CHA is committed to “producing true Christian scholars who will be used of God to propagate the gospel to the whole world.”

In August, on our Founder’s Day, all past employees and board members were invited to a special celebration.  Mr. Josh Bullard shared not only a look back at the school’s moorings but a look forward towards the future.  God has allowed us to see many of the Vision 2031 goals accomplished over the last four years.  Below is a picture of some of the first founders present at the celebration.

Mr. Holmes, Mr. Booton, Dr. Bower, Mrs. Wigley, and Mr. Clay were all faculty members during the 70s decade.

To commemorate our 50th anniversary, a book has been published about CHA’s fifty years of history.  The books are available at CHA and every home football game for a $25 donation.  All donations will be given to the Ralph Bullard Training Facility.  We are also hosting special alumni events this year.  Last Friday night, at the football game alumni night, we had over fifty alumni in attendance.  CHA is family, and there is nothing like our kids coming home.  We encourage you to “save the date” for CHA’s Heritage Banquet on April 5, 2022, to celebrate our 50th anniversary.  It will be time to look “back and to the future.”
