Out of Small Beginnings

November 29, 2021
By Dr. Susan DeMoss

Over the years, God has continued to use OSF to open doors of opportunity for many families. In 2014, CHA received its first gifts to the Opportunity Scholarship Fund.  In that first year, the school received $10,000, which provided scholarships for thirteen students. In 2021, CHA received $599,999 through the OSF, which provided scholarships for 153 families. Each scholarship changes the lives of families, one student at a time.

These humble beginnings reminded me of a quote by Governor William Bradford in his book, Of Plymouth Plantation,

“Thus out of small beginnings greater things have been produced by His hand that made all things of nothing, and gives being to all things that are; and, as one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone unto many, yea in some sort to our whole nation.”

May God use the students at CHA to shine their lights into the world so that He may be glorified and His name may be known.

If you would like to learn more about how to defer some of your tax dollars to provide scholarships through the Opportunity Scholarship Fund, we are hosting a complimentary luncheon this Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Please contact Susan DeMoss to reserve a spot.  You may also learn more about OSF on the school’s website.
