Audience of One

One of the distinctives of Christian Heritage Academy is its philosophy of athletics. It states, “Since we are ambassadors for Jesus Christ, let us conduct ourselves in word and action just as Christ would conduct Himself. Therefore, all that we do, we will do with a total release of our mental and physical abilities and our emotional energies towards our performance, having in mind that Christ is our only audience. Concerning our attitude towards players and fans of the opposing team, we will strive "to love our neighbor as ourselves" and "do unto them as we would have them do unto us."

Our coaches under the leadership of Mr. Clint LittleJim, CHA’s Athletic Director, invest countless hours in our athletes. From memorizing Scripture to responding properly to a referee, sports at CHA are different. This has even been recognized by our opponents and their fans. Every year, God is gracious to provide us with encouragement from an opposing team, fan, or referee who has noticed the difference in Crusader athletics.

Last Monday, CHA hosted its 22nd Annual Crusader Golf Tournament. We had twenty-two sponsors and eighty-eight golfers.  The tournament raised almost $42,000 for our athletic department. These funds will go to much-needed items for our student-athletes.  We would like to thank everyone who attends a Crusader athletic event. Your example of Christlikeness in the stands is a testimony to all who attend, especially the audience on the other side of the field.

May the Lord continue to be our focus in all that we do at CHA. He alone is worthy of praise. He is the ONE to whom we give our gifts and talents.
