All in the Family

October 02, 2023
By Dr. Susan DeMoss

“ For through him, we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers,
but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household,”
Ephesians 2:18-19

One of the blessings of being part of the family of God is the support and encouragement. On Friday, CHA students, faculty, and staff members wore yellow to support Leavyn, a first-grade student diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2019.  She rang the bell on her fifth birthday and recently relapsed in July 2023. Over the past eighteen years that I have been at CHA, there have been a handful of teachers and one student who has battled cancer. I am so thankful that we have “access to the Father by one Spirit” to intercede for members of the body of Christ. I am grateful that we are no longer “strangers” to one another but “members of His household.”

Prayer is powerful. I am thankful to many faithful saints who pray daily for our faculty, staff, students, and families. Prayer makes a difference.
