Dr. Kevin Penwell, President

Dr. Kevin Penwell, President - Kevin Penwell, DO is an alumnus of CHA class of 1990 and the current President. He holds a BS in Physics and Engineering Science from Bob Jones University and a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University. He is the founder and Chief Operating Manager of Immediate Care of Oklahoma Urgent Care Clinics around the OKC metro. He and his wife Sara (CHA class of 1992), have three children currently at CHA – Levi, Banner, and Libby. Their daughter, Ivy, graduated in 2016.  They are members at WildWood Community Church, Norman, OK.

Mr. Ike Burress, Vice President

Mr. Ike Burress, Vice-President - Mr. Burress has served since 1996 on our Board of Trustees and is the current Vice-President. He previously served for ten years on the Board of Deer Creek Schools, four of which he was the president. Mr. Burress holds a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and is currently a consultant in the healthcare industry. He and his wife, Peggy, have two daughters who attended CHA - Brooke graduated in 1996, and Emily in 1999. They attend Heritage Baptist Church.

Mr. Jeremy Vogler, Treasurer

Mr. Vogler was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2016. He earned his BBA in Accounting at the University of Oklahoma in 2000, and is a licensed CPA. He currently is the Manager of Financial Reporting for Devon Energy in Oklahoma City. He and his wife, Cheryl, have 4 children currently at CHA – Samuel, Eli, Benjamin, and Leah. They are members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, where Jeremy teaches Sunday School and serves as a Deacon and Treasurer.

Mr. Jerry Brown

Mr. Brown has served on the Board of Trustees since 1991. He graduated from high school in Washington State and received a degree in Math from Central Washington State. He also has a degree in Physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology.  He is retired from the United States Air Force and from Boeing where he was an electrical engineer. Mr. Brown and his family lived in Okla. City previously. During that time, he served on the Board of Trustees of CHA (1977/78) while his children attended. He and his wife, Jan, are members of Sunnyside Baptist Church where Mr. Brown is an elder. Their sons, James, graduated from CHA in 1992, and Jason graduated in 1993.

Mr. Jay Roberts

Mr. Roberts was elected to the Board in 1998. He is a 1983 CHA alumnus and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He works at Tinker Air Force Base as an E-4 Systems Engineer. He is married to a former CHA teacher, Lisa McKitrick, and they have two children. Christopher graduated in 2015 and Jaylynne is a current student at CHA. They are members of Sunnyside Baptist Church where Jay is a deacon.

Mrs. Danielle Hill

Mrs. Hill is an alumnus of CHA, class of 1997. She studied Speech Pathology at Oklahoma State University, and served for over 10 years as a Children's Minister. She works alongside her father running the Joe White Agency as an Insurance Producer in Edmond, Ok.  Her and her husband Jon have three children currently at CHA - Cooper, Elijah and Lincoln, and attend Northwest Baptist Church of OKC

Mrs. Deborah Young

Mrs. Young holds a B.B.A. in Business Management (1985) and a M.B.A. in Marketing (1988) from the University of Central Oklahoma. She currently serves as Development Coordinator for Hope Pregnancy Centers of Oklahoma, a ministry of Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. She and her husband Tim have one child, Mason, attending CHA. They are members at Southern Hills Baptist Church in South OKC.

Mr. Henry Chan

Mr. Chan has served on the board in an interim capacity since October 2016. He received a BBA from OBU in 1994 and  received his Master of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010.  He served as an Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministry at Northwest Baptist Church for 6 years.  Mr. Chan is currently working on his doctoral dissertation at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He and his wife Keo have been married for 18 years. They have two children, Kaleb and Caroline, currently attending CHA.
